Membership

Membership of Leamington Elders is open to all those who are no longer in full-time employment and have an interest in learning about information technology and how it may be used to help the wider community.

We ask our members to help with a community project - this may involve research, or learning a new computer skill, or perhaps just being available to help a group to do their own research.

Our membership fee is £15 per year, and we charge £2 per week at our Tuesday and Friday morning meetings at the Salvation Army Citadel in Leamington's Old Town to cover running costs (tea/coffee, paper and printing materials, Internet usage).

Staffing

The Leamington Elders group has a membership of about 15 elderly and retired people. They are mostly retired professional people and have an unusually high rate of computer ownership and technical skill.

The Chair and Treasurer is Major Ernie Thompson (Salvation Army), the Secretary is Anne Kirby(University of the Third Age), the Cashier is Ron Flint, and our Project Manager is Rona Brightwell.
